Every client's circumstances are different — which is why understanding always comes before any recommendation.

My advice starts with your goals — not with a product. In practice that means a thorough fact find before any recommendation, honest consideration of every alternative, and a written explanation of what I'd suggest and why, including what I ruled out. Sometimes equity release is the right answer. Sometimes it isn't. My job is to help you find out which — and to be equally comfortable with either conclusion.

Why the education-first approach?

Because most people I meet arrive nervous. They've heard the horror stories — many of which relate to products from decades ago — and they're worried about losing their home or leaving their children with debt. Fear is a terrible basis for a financial decision, and so is sales pressure. Understanding is the antidote to both.
